Tradis Systems

The Tradis system is a more advanced approach to timber frame construction with U values well above the building regulation requirements. Vapour is allowed to travel through the panel so you can keep an airtight building with out the risk of condensation build up. The panels are filled with insulation called Warmcel. Warmcel is made from 100% recycled newspaper and very little energy is used when producing Warmcel. Tradis panels can be used for Walls, Floor and roof panels and large clear spans
can be achieved making it a very versatile system.

C.L.S. (Canadian Lumber Standard) system

The most commonly used timber frame system in the past is the 89x38mm C.L.S. system. This wall is then can be filled with a variety of different insulations. This is the most cost effective of the systems.

The floor joists are generally structural soft wood or engineered I beams and trusses for the roof. The studs could be increased to 140mm x 38mm if you desire a better U Value.

Glulam Frames

Glulam beams and posts are made from layersof structural grade pine laminated togetherthey come in stock sizes or can be made toorder to almost any size or shape. They canbe used in many different applications and can create some massive clear span structures. These beams are often used for the entirestructure of a building or in conjunction withour other systems as structural beams reducing the use of steel.
